Temperature Profiles of an Annealing Oven and Effects on TL-Signals
There are situations where the response of different TLDs that were exposed to the same dose is biased in the same direction. It is shown that this effect can be caused by variations of the time-temperature profile within the annealing oven. It has been determined that the heating rate as well as the temperature maxima are dependent on the position in the oven. A comparison of TL signals with the corresponding temperature profiles yields that collective signal variations can be intentionally provoked by changing the heating conditions.
