There have been many papers published in our journal, and in others, dealing with methods for determining the degree of uniformity, or comparability, among radiation protection measurements. Usually, the technique employed is referred to as an intercomparison exercise. I confess to using this same description myself, despite the fact that my version of Microsoft Word always places a red squiggly line below the word, indicating that it is incorrectly spelled.
