CAD, CAM and CAP

Acronyms abound these days, and the ones mentioned in the title are probably familiar to most of us. Computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) are techniques that have brought about significant advances in the development and fabrication of nearly every commercial product from coffee makers to jet airliners. Another area where computers have become involved of late is in the field of publishing and, in particular, the publication of our journal. Therefore, we might add a third acronym, CAP or computer-aided publishing.
