The Medical Experience - Regulatory Aspects

K. Edgington

The view of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulator is presented with an overview of the current civil aviation regulation that is in place. Comment is offered regarding the regulatory aspects of measurement and the options possible for incorporating the intent of the EC Directive on the subject, to be implemented before May 2000, into civil aviation regulation. The necessary balance between the health requirement, the safety requirement, cost, and practicality is mentioned.
