Rapid Radiation Dose Determined by Bubble Neutron Dosemeters

C. Chung and G. U

The bubble neutron dosemeter is a new device that can yield quantitative neutron dose by the number of bubbles therein. The dosemeter is easy to carry and is re-usable. Bubble neutron dosemeters made by Bubble Technology Industries have been tested to determine their performance regarding saturation, durability and accumulated dose range. The bubble neutron dosemeters are used to map the neutron dose rate distribution in a nuclear reactor containment and to record in-flight cosmic neutron dose in commercial flights.
