Mandatory Type Tests of Solid State Dosimetry Systems as an Appropriate Aid to Quality Assurance in Individual Monitoring

J. Böhm and P. Ambrosi

In the Federal Republic of Germany type tests (pattern approvals) for dosimetry systems with TL, TSEE detectors or films have been made mandatory by the Verification Ordinance of 12 August 1988. Pattern approvals may be obtained via tests according to the requirements PTB-A 23.2 or via extended comparison measurements according to the requirements PTB-A 23.2.1. The special features of these tests and a procedure for checking the maintenance of the accuracy of the measurements in routine radiation surveillance are described.
