Some Implications of the New ICRU Quantities on Intercomparison Measurements of Individual Dosemeters
The role of operational quantities and of phantoms in intercomparison measurements of individual dosemeters is discussed. Experimental results of photon and neutron irradiations show significant influences of the phantom on the reading of the dosemeters. It is concluded that the choice of the ICRU sphere as a phantom for irradiations and H'(10) as the operational quantity may not alone be sufficient to judge the quality of an individual dosimetry system.
